Ok this is something that needs to be discussed! I had a reader question the other day about jeans for short girls who may have a few curves 😉 Finding jeans that you feel comfortable in and accentuate the right places can be really hard and exhausting. It’s always been a struggle for me to find jeans that aren’t too long! And don’t even get me started on trying to find jeans that aren’t too tight on the butt and too loose in the waist. Oh man has it been hard. Lately I’ve been wearing jeans from Levis, Old Navy, and Target. I decided to pick out three and show you those!
This first pair of jeans is from Old Navy and its the Low Rise Rockstar Super Skinny in the Woodland Wash color. I really love these jeans. They fit me really well in the legs and butt, which is a hard feat! They have a very comfortable stretch which is nice 🙂 The color is a little brighter blue so I find I can’t wear them with everything, but that’s okay. I always have to get the short inseam and luckily these have that available. I do still have to roll the bottom a bit but not too much. The downside of being 5’2″ 😉
The second pair is from the Universal Threads brand at Target. I absolutely love this brand in jeans, shirt, and shoes! But back to jeans 🙂 This pair I did size down one size and I’m glad I did. I also of course bought the short inseam. This is a must for me. They are the Mid Rise Skinny in the medium wash color. This color pretty much goes with most things. They hold you in and give you more back coverage so no need to worry about revealing too much 😉 In the description it says they “smooth and sculpt” and I do agree with that. That can’t be a bad thing, right?! We could all use a little help in that area 🙂 Well, maybe not if you’ve never had kids, but that’s another topic!
The last pair is the Signature by Levi Strauss & Co. Gold Label Modern Skinny in the Stormy Sky color. This is a darker pair of jeans. They are Mid Rise and skinny through the hip and thigh. The leg opening is skinny too. They are super stretchy and SO comfortable. I would venture to say they accentuate your curves just right 😉 I ended up losing about 11 lbs so mine are a bit too big now, but when they did fit I did not feel like they lost shape or bagged out. I love a good pair of dark jeans. I also own these same jeans in a lighter wash, the Cape Town color. These ones are just as good!
